What is the Gospel at Home?
It is a family meeting, on a specific day and hour, at least once a week, for the study of the Gospel of Jesus according to the Spiritist Doctrine, and family prayer.
Goal
“It aims to study the Gospel according to Spiritism in a methodical way at your home; to create the habit of evangelical study and family prayer; to sanitize your home spiritually through good thoughts and feelings in times of prayer, peace and unity; strengthen family ties.” (National Federative Council of the Brazilian Spiritist Federation, Orientation to the Spiritist Center, p. 49).
Who can participate
All family members, including occasional and unexpected visits.
Guide for the implementation of the Gospel at Home
- Choose day, with fixed schedule, at least weekly.
- Preparation of the environment: set the table, put pure water, the book The Gospel according to Spiritism and other books (with messages, for children, and / or for adolescents)
- Preparatory reading of a small message (optional)
- Initial prayer
- Reading of the Gospel – maximum of 10 minutes, loudly
